Build it, run it or learn it

Meta ads training vs management: which fits your team?

Choose between learning to run Meta campaigns, bringing in ongoing management or a staged handover, based on your team’s time, capability and responsibilities.

The short answer

Choose training when someone in your business has the time and responsibility to operate the account. Choose management when you need an external provider to own an agreed delivery scope. Both still need business input and a clear review process.

  • Training builds capability; management supplies ongoing delivery within a scope.
  • Account operation, creative production and sales follow-up all need named owners.
  • Compare total time and responsibilities alongside the fee.

1. Start with who will do the work

The key question is not whether your team can learn the interface. It is whether someone has protected time to plan campaigns, coordinate creative, review evidence and make responsible decisions. Advertising needs an operating routine alongside account knowledge. Training without an owner can become another set of notes nobody uses.

List the work and assign a person before choosing the engagement. Someone needs to approve offers and claims, prepare or commission creative, operate the account, check the destination and report what happens to enquiries. One person can own several tasks, but the responsibilities should not be left implicit.

2. Choose training for a team ready to practise

Training fits when an owner or employee will run the account and wants guided practice with the business’s own circumstances. A useful brief names the current skill level, immediate tasks and decisions the learner needs to handle independently. Agree what practical work will be completed during and after the sessions.

Meta Blueprint provides official learning material on advertising tools and topics. That can support foundational learning. Tailored instruction adds value when it helps your team apply relevant knowledge to its own offer, account and review process, rather than simply retelling an interface tour.

Demandify’s Meta training and consulting is a hands-on service with Brandon Cutajar, scoped as private sessions or a programme. Topics can include setup, campaign structure, audiences, creative testing and reading performance. The current service is tailored instruction; it should not be confused with access to a finished recorded-course library.

3. Choose management when delivery needs an owner

Management fits when you want an external provider to carry an agreed account workload and report on it. It still requires decisions from the business. The manager needs accurate service information, approved claims, creative inputs and feedback about lead quality. Outsourcing the account does not remove those dependencies.

Demandify offers fixed-fee Meta account management with scope agreed around the business. A current website can remain the destination if it is suitable. If a separate landing-page build or other work is proposed, confirm that cost and delivery scope explicitly. Advertising spend is separate from the management engagement.

Ask who can approve spend changes, what the review cadence is, how creative is supplied and how issues are escalated. Make sure reporting explains decisions and outcomes at the level your business can actually verify. A report should not equate cheaper forms with more suitable customers without checking the enquiries.

4. Compare two realistic team situations

Hypothetical example: an Australian professional-services firm has a marketing coordinator with weekly time, access to approved creative and a manager who reviews enquiries. Training may be a sensible way to strengthen an operating routine that already has an owner. The brief can focus on the coordinator’s gaps and a process they can maintain.

A second firm has an owner who handles delivery and sales, with nobody available to monitor the account consistently. Management may fit better, provided the owner can still supply business input and respond to decisions. Choosing training only to minimise the external fee would overlook the missing operating capacity.

Neither example establishes a budget threshold or guarantees a result. Compare the total demand on the business: fees, staff time, creative production, approval speed and sales capacity. Revisit the arrangement if the team’s resources change.

5. Define what a handover should achieve

A staged approach can be discussed when a business wants support now and internal capability later. Define the training outputs, account documentation, review process and the point at which responsibilities change. Do not assume handover training is included in management unless the proposal says so.

Before speaking with Demandify, identify the person who would operate the account, their experience and the work they can realistically own. Bring the current offer and the decisions that feel unclear. That makes it possible to discuss practical training, ongoing management or a separately scoped combination around your team.

Common questions

Can a founder learn to run their own Meta ads?

Yes, provided they can commit time to learning and ongoing operation. Scope the training around practical tasks, then make room for creative, review and follow-up rather than treating a session as the entire process.

Does management include a new website or training?

Only if the proposal includes those deliverables. Confirm destination work, creative production and any handover sessions separately so responsibilities and costs are clear.

How should we decide when our team is ready to take over?

Agree on practical tasks the team should be able to complete: prepare an approved campaign, check its destination, interpret a report and explain the next decision. Have a named account owner and escalation process. Use demonstrated capability and available time to guide the handover, rather than the number of sessions alone.
