The local brief
ACT Government business guidance describes opportunities across trades, hospitality, real estate, accounting and retail alongside Canberra’s public-sector base. We do not treat the city as a single government-procurement audience. A consumer booking, a private B2B engagement and a formal purchasing process require different content and expectations.

What to prioritise
Separate lead generation from formal procurement
A website can help a buyer assess your capability, but an enquiry does not replace a required purchasing or tender process. Explain the service, genuine qualifications and contact route without implying preferred-supplier status. Where procurement requirements matter, have the responsible specialist verify the claims and process before publication.
Keep everyday services easy to buy
If your customer is a household or local business, avoid burying practical service information under corporate capability language. Put coverage, scope, preparation and the next step where they are easy to find. Use only the questions required to decide whether an appointment or assessment is suitable.
Define the ACT and surrounding-region boundary
Some businesses work across Canberra and nearby New South Wales; others do not. Explain your own coverage and any different service conditions rather than relying on a city label. Keep the ad promise consistent with what the team can deliver, especially where attendance or jurisdiction-specific requirements need separate review.
